Located in the heart of Sydney's historic Rocks district, the Sirius Building is a landmark of Brutalist architecture, originally completed in 1980. The current redevelopment project reimagines this iconic structure for contemporary living while preserving its cultural significance. The project includes the adaptive reuse of the existing building into a series of luxury residences, featuring modern interiors, sustainable design principles, and sweeping views of Sydney Harbour. With a focus on heritage conservation and urban renewal, the Sirius Building exemplifies thoughtful transformation, merging architectural legacy with refined, future-ready living spaces.
Karabiner designed, supplied, and installed façade access and height safety systems, including anchor points, static lines, walkways, and more. All systems were designed based on the specific needs of the client, with the goal of maximizing safety and efficiency. They were carefully engineered to provide complete access for both light and heavy maintenance, covering the entire building from top to bottom.
