Barangaroo Metro Station is part of the Sydney Metro network, connecting the western harbour precinct to the CBD. It runs over six underground levels beneath the Barangaroo district and is built for high-capacity, accessible, sustainable transport.
The challenge
An underground station is one of the harder places to build fixed access. The environment is confined and multi-level, and systems have to let crews service internal and external elements across six levels below ground, where space and geometry are tight.
What we delivered
Karabiner designed, supplied and installed bespoke height safety and rope access systems for the station, including anchor points, Raptor Rail and a building maintenance cradle. Each element was engineered around the station's confined, multi-level layout so maintenance teams can work safely and efficiently. The height safety installation suits one of Sydney's more complex transport environments.
The result
The station has safe, engineered access across all of its underground levels, supporting thorough servicing for the life of the asset. Have a complex or below-ground environment? Talk to our team.
