Metro Martin Place is a mixed-use development in the financial heart of Sydney, with a 29-level tower combining commercial office space with retail and dining, built over the new Martin Place Metro station.
The challenge
A tall tower over a busy transport interchange has to be maintainable from day one. Access had to reach every part of the building, ground level to rooftop, and support inspection, cleaning, upkeep and glazing replacement without disrupting tenants or the station below.
What we delivered
Karabiner provided the bespoke design, engineering and installation of façade access and height safety systems custom-engineered for the 29-level tower. The systems let maintenance teams safely reach external and internal façade elements, including glazing, across the full height of the building. It is standard scope for our height safety installation and rope access teams on high-rise towers.
The result
The building has engineered access built in, supporting its long-term performance and safe upkeep in one of the busiest parts of the city. Planning access for a CBD tower? Talk to our team.
